Foster a pet
Foster someone’s pet while they attend substance abuse treatment. This is generaly a 90 day commitment.
Volunteer
Volunteers needed to transport pets to their foster parents.
By volunteering with Leashes2Recovery.org (“the Organization”), you (“the Volunteer”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Voluntary Participation: You understand that participation in the Organization’s foster care and volunteer program is strictly voluntary and without compensation. You agree to provide temporary care, housing, and companionship to animals owned by individuals undergoing substance use treatment.
Eligibility: You represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and legally capable of entering into this agreement. You agree to participate in a screening process, which may include interviews and reference checks, prior to acceptance.
Animal Care and Conduct: You agree to provide a safe, clean, and appropriate environment for the foster animal and to follow all instructions and guidelines provided by the Organization. You will not transfer, abandon, or permanently rehome any foster animal placed in your care.
Liability Waiver: You acknowledge and accept that fostering animals may involve risks, including the risk of injury or property damage. You hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Leashes2Recovery.org, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, damages, or expenses arising from your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Organization.
Medical and Emergency Care: The Organization will provide necessary supplies and will coordinate and cover the cost of approved veterinary care. You agree to immediately report any health or behavioral issues concerning the foster animal.
Confidentiality: You agree not to disclose any personal information of clients, including but not limited to names, treatment status, or other sensitive data, obtained through your volunteer role.
By continuing with the volunteer application or accepting a foster placement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this disclosure.
